Important Rules and Guidelines for Your Pench Safari

Maharashtra Pench follows its regular safari schedule from 1 October to 30 June. Visitors should always check the latest Forest Department schedule before booking, as dates and availability may change.
7. Following the instructions of your guide is important. They know the Jungle and behaviour of animals really well and will give you safety instructions. Always listen to them during the safari and follow all the rules of this park mentioned on notice boards, brochures, or given before the ride. 8. You cannot enter Pench National Park without a valid safari permit. Make sure your Pench Online Safari Booking is confirmed and you have a printout of permit in hand before you reach the gate of the park. They ask for the permits, so keep a printout with you.
9. Every adult visitor must carry a government-approved photo ID like Aadhar, PAN, or Passport during the safari. The only exception is for children below 5 years of age. Without an ID, entry will not be allowed inside the Pench National Park.
10. Follow the current mobile-phone and electronic-device rules applicable to your selected safari zone. Some protected areas may prohibit the use or possession of mobile phones during safari. Follow all instructions issued by the Forest Department and safari staff.

Safari Tips Before You Head to Pench
- When you make a Pench Safari Booking then you’ll get a permit that will only allow you to enter a particular zone. You can’t hop between different zones with the same permit. So, choose your zone carefully while booking
- No need to worry about getting lost or being dropped off somewhere far. Your safari ride will start and end at the same gate of the park. You will be able to return to your resort or hotel in the same way you came.
- Book your Pench Safari as early as possible for better zone and date availability. For Madhya Pradesh Pench, permits for 1–31 October 2026 opened on 1 August 2026, and permits for 1 November 2026 onwards will open on 1 September 2026. Maharashtra Pench follows a separate booking system, so booking should be done as soon as dates become available.
- You might be on holiday, but the jungle has its own rules. All visitors are expected to follow the guidelines given by the forest authorities and guides. Listening to your guide will make your safari safe and an enjoyable one.
