Madhya Pradesh Pench Permit Tips
For Madhya Pradesh Pench, the regular MP Forest booking system normally opens safari permits for the 120th day every day at 11:00 AM. Therefore, tourists planning a fixed travel date should ideally try to book around 3–4 months in advance, particularly for weekends, holidays and popular safari dates.
However, the Forest Department may announce a separate schedule when a new safari season opens. For the 2026–27 forest season, the current schedule is:

Enter the traveller's name and ID details correctly while booking. Carry the required original government-issued photo ID during the safari and ensure that the details correspond with the booking information.
The MP Forest portal states that vehicle and guide charges are additional to the online permit amount and may need to be paid separately for the safari.

- Premium Tatkal: opens 7 days before the safari date at 11:00 AM.

Maharashtra Pench Permit Tips
Maharashtra Pench uses a separate Maharashtra Forest safari booking system. An MP Pench permit cannot be treated as a Maharashtra Pench permit.
For Maharashtra Pench, the official pages currently do not publish a fixed rule such as "120 days in advance" for Pench. Therefore, the safest information to give tourists is:
Book your Maharashtra Pench safari permit as soon as your preferred travel date becomes available in the Maharashtra Forest booking system. Early booking is recommended for weekends, holidays and peak-season travel dates.
Do not mention 90 days, 120 days or any other fixed advance period for Maharashtra unless the Maharashtra Forest Department officially publishes that rule.
Maharashtra Pench has multiple safari gates. Always verify your confirmed gate before arranging your hotel and transport.
